๐ DAY 25: Strategizing for your interview ๐
Interviews are STRESSFUL...we're in this together
Hi again! Perhaps your first networking call with someone led to a more formal interview. Or perhaps you had to follow up to get an actual interview. An interview is a clear step towards a potential internship/job. Today's edition is helping you strategize for your interview.
3, 2, 1!

๐ 2 pieces of advice when strategizing for your interview ๐
๐ 1) Ask yourself: if the interviewer can only remember 1-2 things about me, what are they?
It is your goal that your interviewer remembers something (1-2 things) significant about you.
Your 1-2 things can be technical (such as being experienced in Python, Photoshop, etc.), and they can also be non-technical (such as being an incredible communicator, loving organizational structure, etc.).
Whatever it is that you want your interviewer to remember should be aligned with 1.) the role youโre applying to and 2.) your experiences.
๐ 2) Connect your strengths/prior experiences with your passion for the role/company
Some people are great discussing their strengths and talking about their capabilities and what theyโve done before. While this is great, it neglects to answer the most important question: why should the interviewer care about you and what youโve done?
The interviewer cares not only about what youโve done, but how you can link it to how it will help you succeed in the role.
Allow your research on the company/role to inform your answers. At the end of the interview, you want the interview to not just think that you are passionate/well-qualified, but you also want them to believe that you are the right person for the specific role/company.

For more in-depth information on these strategies, take a look at this post. Tomorrow we will discuss specific questions you may be asked in your interviewโ we can't wait!
